Fallout 3 has won one of the most prestigious gaming award – Golden Joystick Award for ‘Game of Year’ went to Fallout 3. Whereas, one of the most popular games among college students and one man shooting fans – Call of Duty series won a hat-trick of awards.
Call of Duty series was awarded the following three awards-
1) MSN multiplayer game of the year: Call Of Duty: World At War
2) Nintendo game of the year: Call of Duty: World at War
3) ShortList one to watch: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
All these games are hugely popular among college students. The level of gaming has gone so many level highers compared to the earlier Counter-Strike that many preferred to play in multi-player.

On the whole Fallout 3 bagged the Best PC game of the year and Call of Duty seems to be the most popular option for many gaming-addicts. Organiser of the Golden Joystick Awards Emma Parkinson said:
“The games industry remains innovative and vibrant despite economic pressures.”
Gamers in the UK spent £2.7bn on gaming in the past year – despite growing concerns of a dip in gaming revenue due to the economic pressure.
