Is Offline Promotion Really Worth Your Time?
Posted on 13. Jun, 2010 by Vivek Krishnan in Blog Tips
Recently, I read a post about promoting your blog offline on one of the blogs which I read regularly. It was interesting for me to see the various ways in which the author explained your blog can be promoted offline. Of course, most of them were very practical. After reading the post I understood that it is not that difficult after all to promote your blog offline. Earlier I had considered that promoting a blog offline can be very expensive. But there was one question which hit my mind - is it really worth spending on offline promotion?
I am game with the ideas suggested to promote a blog offline i.e. through a t-shirt, business cards etc. But I am not very sure about the amount of benefits that it may provide. Of course, offline methods of promotion such as Magazine, Newsletters can be effective in getting you traffic but having a logo-designed t-shirt of your blog may not always be very effective for you to generate visitors. Unless your site is already a little well-known on the internet creating t-shirts with your blog’s logo will not make it a traffic-monster overnight. These merchandises can be great for branding but will never be able to match up to your traffic expectations. This is why I have always recommended offline branding is only feasible once you reach a certain level online – before that doing offline promotion can be a big waste of time and resource.
I would love to hear your thoughts on offline promotion.

Hello Vivek.I tried offline promotion. It just increases visitors for a limited amount of time and not life long existence. They come just because of their curiosity in the ad campaign. Rest, some of them may become a permanent visitor. To conclude I will say, it should be done.
