Alexa rank is an evil obsession. It is tough for a new blogger to believe that the Alexa rank is a highly flawed system of ranking sites. But Life’s Imperfect. Alexa rank is skewed to rank sites with webmaster/technology related content. The reason why Alexa rank is not correct is because it only counts visits by visitors who have the Alexa toolbar installed in their browser. And a web savvy, tech-oriented audience are more likely to have the Alexa toolbar installed in their browser. General users who visit your site are not counted in the traffic rank as they do not have the Alexa rank.

We all know the huge controversy that Facebook was able to stir up on the internet. Facebook made a huge dent on Facebook users sentiments with their Privacy Policy – which was too difficult for normal mortals like us to understand. The smug-faced Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg was not much help either. In fact, a few of his comments infuriated a lot of Facebook users – and that is a lot considering Facebook has around 400 million active users.
