Posted on 13. Apr, 2010 by Vivek Krishnan in Blog Tips
As we all know the current blogosphere is highly competitive and it has become very important that bloggers are always up-to-date and aware of all the recent developments. Bloggers today are not simply people who type posts and turn off their monitor. These days, they have to focus on social networking, promotion, SEO and sponsors. And with the rate of growth in blogs – we can already say that things will only keep getting more and more difficult.
Here are 6 reasons why most bloggers fail to be successful online:
Poor Creativity:
If you are the kind of blogger who only focuses on creating content and dream of it being dugg by thousands and stumbled by hundreds – you are wrong. Today, bloggers have to be creative to grab the attention of their readers. Simple content will not drive traffic. Hosting contests and give prizes to top commentators are all effective and creative ideas to keep your blog alive.
Greed to Earn:
It is really sad to see so many blogger who clutter their blog with ads even before they have reasonable amount of content. It is stupid to place ads on your blog when it is only one month old. Ads are supposed to be kept once you have established yourself and not when people are still forming an impression about you.
Failure to Focus:
Another major reason why bloggers fail online is to lose focus mid-way. For example, my aim for this blog is to rank in the first page of Google for the keyword- “How to Become an Internet Entrepreneur”. I am almost going to achieve that goal – and then I have to set a higher and more challenging goal. In the way, it is important I do not lose focus.
Lose Personality:
Your blog and your blog posts should be an extension of yourself. It is easy to lose your readers if you have no personal touch in your blogs. It is very boring to read blogs that are unbiased, not controversial and do not discuss anything worthwhile. The blog he writes should be as interesting as his personality.
Stopping to Plan:
Many bloggers do not have definite plan to take their blog to great heights. Effective planning includes – how many posts he expects to publish each month and his promotional strategy to boost online presence. Failure to plan can cause you to fail in blogging.
Ignoring SEO:
You need not be obsessed with SEO but it is worth while to keep it inthe back of your mind while you blog. Ignoring SEO completely can be a poor move from your side. Because, finally it is Search Engines which will decide the success of your blog.
There are many 100 reasons why blogs fail to pick up. These are few reasons why bloggers are not able to make their blog a success.

Good article, you can also fail for writing about content that generally doesn’t draw much interest or search (poor niche) or failing to invest time and energy which I would lump into your focus above.
