You are changing your permalink from WP default - which contains the date, month, year etc in the link. This is not required and unnecessarily increases the length of your permalink. 

Changing it to my above mentioned Permalink structure - you will enjoy shorter links (search engines like that) and you will also increase the keyword density (SEO gold).
