For many bloggers, writing becomes a task do be done with rather than another opportunity to share something interesting with the world. This is one of the main reasons why most bloggers fail at blogging. When you are having fun while writing, it tells. This post is a bloggers guide to have fun while writing.

“If it’s not fun, you’re not doing it right.” ~ Bob Basso

Write About Topics You Are Interested:

This is the numero uno rule to enjoy writing articles for your blog. When you are interested in the topic you write, the research for it will not really seem like a lot of hard work as it will be a learning experience for yourself. This is one of the main reason why in this blog you will find that most topics are related to “blogging” and “entrepreneurship” – they interest me and I can obsess over them for hours without calling it work.

You Don’t Need To Follow All The Rules:

First off, in blogging their are really no rules. There are just a set of protocols that have been mentioned by pro-bloggers which have helped them make their blog successful. Neither is anyone going to grade you according to the format you have followed. My recommendation is to set your own rules of blogging. See what works for you, change things up a bit. Once you begin to step out of that invisible box you created for yourself, you will automatically find writing much more fun.

Blog at Different Venues:

Don’t have a fixed place for blogging. You can check into CCD (Cafe Coffee Day) or maybe TGI Friday or simply go to a nearby wi-fi zone with a garden to let your blogging energy flow. These days due to technologies such as 3G phones, Data Card and Laptops you can literally blog anywhere you please. Make the most of these and make blogging fun.

Avoid Perfection:

Not every article you write needs to be a masterpiece. You can write an article that is lessn than perfect and still make it viral. Many bloggers begin to hate writing articles because they try too hard to make it perfect – which takes a large toll on their time and effort. Perfection is a word that can bring you down. So try and avoid it.

Play Music, Reward Yourself:

You need not be very serious when you are writing, play some nice music that you enjoy in the background. This can really help you focus. Also, make it a point to reward yourself after a particularly long session of blogging. The personal reward can be something as small as a chocolate bar or an hour of sleep. Its up to you.

These are 5 tips to have fun while writing for your blog, instead of considering more of a work. Blogging is something that was earlier a stress-buster for many. But now it has become a hyper-competitive field. Take the competition and stress out and you will find that you have regained the true joy of blogging.

The title of this post is quite self-explanatory- why I do not post more than 2 articles in a day. Since I began blogging on CollegeFallOut I have been able to get a good look of the competition around me and one thing which I have noticed about successful blogs is their number of posts each day. Popular and high-traffic blogs have been posting a minimum of three articles in a day. But I have been posting one post each day and at the maximum I have gone on to post 2 articles in one day. However, the reason for this is not that I am lazy to generate more articles per day. The real point for this is that I am consciously restricting myself to a one to two posts per day.

Here are a few reasons why I do not post more than 2 articles per day:

This Is Not a Tech Blog, CollegeFallOut deals with posts that are related to Internet Entrepreneurs, Blogging/SEO tips. The articles related to such a niche are a little more difficult to digest and are much more heavier on the readers. Although a reader would always like as much content as possible; an overflow of content in a single day can cause them to leave your site prematurely because of all that information your giving them in one go. It is always better to take it slow and easy when it comes to provding content to your readers. If you post one article in a day, here are a few advantages:

It has higher viraling potential

You are providing your readers time to chew on what you wrote thereby enhancing reader experience

You make sure each of your article is read

The last point is particularly important because if you have three to four articles in one day, you can be sure that your readers are either skimming through your content or have not read all the articles which you have posted. You cannot blame the reader as no one wants to read so much in one go.

If you are saying that blogs like TechCrunch and Mashable post almost 6 to 10 articles in a day, well to reply to this I would like to say that they are technology sites. Technology evolves fast- there is a lot happening in a single day itself. Moreover, content related to technology does not really require the reader to introspect – it is just reading and updating yourself.

So what is the number of article you post in a day? Do let me know below.

Post Drafts are a great way for bloggers to stay safe during their “Writers Block” phase. Every blogger has it and it is an inevitable phase. There are definitely going to be days when you just cannot write a single word no matter how badly you want to. At the same time, you will find that certain days it becomes really easy for you to belt out articles for your blog.

Post Drafts are generally kept to continue writing the post later. But the advantages of keeping 100% publishable post drafts will save you during your rainy days. During days that you cannot write then you can publish your prepared post drafts. This will continue to keep your readers engaged. At the same time, you will continue to maintain the standards of the blog. A blogger is quite vulnerable to post vague and useless posts when you just don’t feel like writing.

Blogging is not a process that can be done by punching in and out, it is something more natural and complicated- some days you can write and other days you cannot. So the days that you find yourself in a good form to write belt out ten to twelve articles if possible. Trust me, it will make you feel much lighter and motivate you to write good quality articles knowing that you are in no hurry for completion as you have post drafts as a backup option.

It is understandable that the days you do not feel like writing it is absolutely okay not to write! At the same time I think it is cool to leverage the advantage which maintaining drafts of prepared posts offer to a blogger.

Hi Guys,

There seems to be no doubt that Google Adsense is getting harder. Even seasoned webmasters who once earned handsomely from the Adsense program are twitching in frustration.

If you are an AdWords advertiser you would notice that Google has empowered advertisers with statistics very powerful. It has become quite easy for an advertiser to see which web pages in the AdSense network are generating profitable traffic for the advertiser and which are not.

Advertisers react to this data by quickly pulling out their ads from such webpages and from web pages which are just not relevant enough.

What you must do as a publisher is to provide high quality content so that advertisers can in return achieve highly targeted audience. One great way to boost your AdSense earning prowess is to write valuable content and educate your audience on the service of the kid of ads that get shown on your website. If you do not do this, then you will quickly see the number of advertisers competing for your site falling down. You will also notice a drastic reduction in the amount they are willing to pay per click.

Result: reduced AdSense income.

But unfortunately, most of us consider writing articles much tougher than it is. If you do write more number of articles there are a lot of benefits-

1) More probability of Search Engine Traffic

2) More keywords for AdSense Ads

3) Greatly improve your reader interest

4) A higher quality site since a large number of content will help you build your site out

I hope this post let you know what you need to improvise on to really boost your AdSense income.

Wishing You Blogging Success.

I really do not consider my writing the most interesting piece of words that you will ever read.

I do not know why! It may be because my writing has always been restricted to writing letters to the Electricity board or the Local Gas Agency. Whatever it is, it makes it really difficult for me to make my content magnetic like most prolific bloggers we have on the internet. And they say that content is King – which is very true.

And, I have to admit, I kind of resented the lack of proper writing skills in the Beginning.

But with time, comes wisdom and I realized that writing for a blog needs a lot more than good creative skills. The main ingredient for successful writing is the ability to connect to your readers. It really does not matter even if you can’t make your words dance like a movie in front of your readers. The main point is that your readers understand what you are saying – and benefit from it.

Soon, I understood the best way to write interesting articles.

If you really want to write interesting articles – be interested in the subject you are writing about. If you are starting a sports niche blog then be passionate about sports, its controversies and the great skills of the many players who play the particular sport. And that is the key to interesting writing.

Here is the rule for writing interesting articles.

Be authentic. Have something to say. Display passion and never feign interest.

Because the moment you pretend to be interested in something you really are not – you have already lost your audience. Best of luck.

To Your Blogging Success.
