Hello Everybody.

This post has Tips on how to select a Search Engine Optimization company. Most of us have bore the brunt of ruthless search engine result placements (SERPs) that place you at a great position one day and demote you to the tenth page the next day – and that too for no apparent reason. This is where Search Engine Optimization plays an important role. If your blog/website is SEO friendly then it can fight off most competitors to maintain a healthy SERP.

If you own a blog then most probably you won’t require a SEO company – because it can be slightly capital intensive. However, if you own a business website or a website selling products – it is very difficult to make it SEO friendly. This is where SEO companies come in handy.

Most SEO companies, although deliver results quite effectively can prove to be expensive for you. New SEO companies would offer services at more competitive rates but they lack a proven successful history, you risk your money there.

Here are some tips to select a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) company:

Do not select SEO companies that use Blackhat SEO. These companies use underhand ways to fool the crawler. Such as creating a special page, which is set-up to artificially boost your search engine position. This page is invisible to general visitors, this only sidetracks the crawlers. It is known as Cloaking. If Google finds out, they ban your website from its listings. It is a severe penalty for most other search engines as well.

Ensure that your SEO company has a leak proof privacy policy. The SEO company you select could also be working for your competitor – annulling any investment you made. It has come up time and again on the internet that many SEO companies sell their services to your competitors, after achieving success with your website SEO. So get a legal binding on them to be absolutely sure.

Ask the SEO company for references. They should provide you with business they have successfuly worked in the past. Getting to know their vital performance data for the last six months is also important to know before you select a Search Engine Optimization company.

Get to know which search engine they get most effective results. If they are getting top placements only for XYZ search engine, you are wasting your money. Acknowledge which popular search engines they are most effective with, such as Google, Yahoo, Ask and Bing etc.

Hope you found this post useful when you step out to select a Seach Engine Company for your SEO campaign.
