The blinking cursor on the blank screen can be a nightmare for most bloggers. They struggle to come up with topics to write for their blog. It is a mind block which forces them to waste a lot of time thinking of topics on which they can write about on their blog.

Here are some ways in which you can come up with ideas to write on your blog:

Your Need: The first place where you need to look is within yourself. Is there a post that you would like to read? I am sure that there must be something that you wanted to know about in your niche, and then if you yourself answer to that question after a research then you have come up with an idea for a great original post. That is not only helping you but helping many other bloggers who have the same doubts as yours.

Trending Topics: You can check out the Trending Topics column on Twitter. That is indicative of what the latest buzz on the internet is. If you are smart you can get a trending topic to become a nice keyword for new post and then write an article on it. Then not only have you got an idea for a post but now you can also be sure about readers for that post.

Blog Subscription Emails: It is always a good idea if you have subscribed to email updates from other blogs of your own niche. Then when they post their articles you can get ideas for your new articles. It need not be on the same topic, your post can explore a different angle of the same topic. This is what most internet-savvy bloggers do for ideas on what to write.

Google News: You can subscribe to updates on all the latest news. You can edit settings such that only news for a particular keyword(s) be sent to your email. The keywords can be something to relate to your niche. This way whenever there is news on the internet about something related to your niche, you can be notified Google. You can adjust it to be sent weekly, daily or hourly – depending on your need.

These are some ways that many bloggers come up with great topics to write about on their blog. Hope you to will implement them to write even more interesting posts on your blog.

Do you use any more ways to come up with topics? Let me know below.

When you entered the blogosphere you were a virgin who did not know much about SEO, Social Media Marketing and WordPress Plugins. Within a few months you started to gather the nuances of blogging and began to understand that running a blog is indeed a very tedious job. You need to post regularly and work hard to promote it on various social media sites. The only thing that can make you keep blogging is Passion.

In this post, I will tell you how you should run your blog like a company. But, the only difference being that you are the only employee and employer.

Broadly a blogging company can be classified into four departments:

Manufacturing Department: This is the most essential department. It corresponds to the writing of posts. Manufacture means creating quality posts for your blog. Like in company, if a bad quality product is rejected, you must never create articles which have no substance or quality. So the Manufacturing Department is responsible for creation of new posts regularly.

Promotion Department: This is where you should try to promote your posts. For that you should submit your post to various social media such as Twitter, Digg, StumbleUpon etc. A very effective way to get more people reading your post is by commenting on other blogs.

Sales Department: After you create your posts, it needs to be sold in the market (it should be read by people). Your product i.e. the post should stand out of the crowd. All c omments on your blog need to be replied, you have to tweet your posts etc. You should also decide if the post created should be posted on your blog or as a guest post in some other blog. Updating the All in One SEO, selecting the Related Posts are all related to sales.

Technical Department: All the technical aspects of blogging like WordPress Plugins, web hosts registration, Upgrading WordPress regularly and ensuring internet security against hackers are the main functions of the technical department.

So these are all the functions of a blogger – a blogger works like a company. The only difference that he manages all aspects of the company. Hope you enjoyed it.

Did I miss any feature? If so, please let me know below. Do retweet it if you find it interesting.

I really do not consider my writing the most interesting piece of words that you will ever read.

I do not know why! It may be because my writing has always been restricted to writing letters to the Electricity board or the Local Gas Agency. Whatever it is, it makes it really difficult for me to make my content magnetic like most prolific bloggers we have on the internet. And they say that content is King – which is very true.

And, I have to admit, I kind of resented the lack of proper writing skills in the Beginning.

But with time, comes wisdom and I realized that writing for a blog needs a lot more than good creative skills. The main ingredient for successful writing is the ability to connect to your readers. It really does not matter even if you can’t make your words dance like a movie in front of your readers. The main point is that your readers understand what you are saying – and benefit from it.

Soon, I understood the best way to write interesting articles.

If you really want to write interesting articles – be interested in the subject you are writing about. If you are starting a sports niche blog then be passionate about sports, its controversies and the great skills of the many players who play the particular sport. And that is the key to interesting writing.

Here is the rule for writing interesting articles.

Be authentic. Have something to say. Display passion and never feign interest.

Because the moment you pretend to be interested in something you really are not – you have already lost your audience. Best of luck.

To Your Blogging Success.

Any blog which you have visited what is the difference when you have simply left it after one read of the opening post and otherwise stuck around to take a look at the other posts the blog has to offer.

The main reason is that the blog which you kept browsing was able to capture your reader interest, which is the key to any successful bloggers career. It is very important to remember at this point that whatever topic you may be writing about – there are another thousand bloggers doing the same. So if you are able to write content that is more interesting than the others although it is based on the same niche. You are bound to be more successful than them.

And this is no big secret. We all know that Darren Rowse, John Chow etc are considered as the best bloggers on the internet. However, when the author of DailyBlogTips entered the scene – Daniel Scocco – he was no one. Currently, his readership and Alexa ranking as well as reputation is at par with Daniel Rowse’s ProBlogger. He is more preferred by newbie bloggers to learn the tricks of blogging thanks to his simplistic writing and better quality of article. This shows that a blog can always be successful in any niche as long as the person writing it is motivated and interesting.

Just a Note – I find that Darren Rowse has totally run out of topics to write on his blog. All I find is the same content again and again.
