The internet being what it is today, there are millions of blog on each niche. So it become important to make your blog stand out in a crowded blogging niche. These are a few techniques listed below to make your blog different from the rest of the crowd in the niche.

Don’t Follow a Pattern: Always avoid following a pattern. It is easy to get pulled into the me too mindset in a crowded blogging niche. One blogger posts an article and then all the other blogs have the same topics with modifications and editing. This is on no way going to make you stand out of the crowd.

Have a Unique Angle to Things: Always be unique in your views. Try to look at a different angle of things. For example, if all bloggers are saying that the Aweber mailing list is the best one to use on the internet, then may be you can come up with a post that claims the difficulty which many newbie bloggers face trying to build an email list with Aweber. Think different and offer your readers a new and fresh angle which they have not.

Your Blog’s Theme: Have a high quality and unique blog design. It is very important if you ever wanted to create a brand out of your blog and it is this brand which make you stand out of the crowds of blogs in the blogosphere. Invest wisely in a theme and create a killer impression on your readers.

Consistent: Be really consistent when it comes to the delivery of articles on your blog. Most bloggers post randomly on their blog. So if you are consistent then you will be ahead of a lot of blogs in your niche anyways. Your blog’s success will depend on how consistent you are.

Guest Post A Lot: Create a list of popular blogs based on your niche. Then go ahead and create stunning articles. Guest post these articles on the blogs and enjoy. Guest posting IS the most effective way to create back links, readers, reputation etc. This will contribute in helping you display a perceived authority in your niche to many readers.

So hope you put these techniques to practice to finally make your blog stand out of all that crowd!

When you are blogging it is important to create a community of other bloggers around you. And the best community is to make of bloggers who blog about the same niche as yours. But I have noticed that unless your niche is really popular many bloggers find it hard to find peer in their niche. To help you out, here are a few ways to find other bloggers in your niche:

Google Blog Search:

It is the first place where you should go. Google blogs is a great search engine to find other bloggers who are blogging about the same niche as yours. You just need to type in a few keywords that are oriented towards your niche. Google blog search is updated continuously so you can find many new blogs that are based on the same niche as yours.

Blogger Communities:

These are basically get-together for bloggers. These communities offer you to become friends with many of your bloggers in the blogosphere and blogger communities have also proven effective to send your way some residual traffic. Blogger communities like MyBlogLog and BlogCatalog are the most popular one’s out there. You can search with the keywords to find bloggers in your niche.

Blogging Directories:

This is another awesome way to find other bloggers in your niche. It has been easy to see that most blog directories classify the blogs according to categoriesm but, it may become difficult for you to find blogs related to your niche because of the sheer volume of blogs present in the directories.

Blog Top Lists:

Blog top lists are also much like blogging directories but they rank blogs in different niches according to their traffic. This makes it easier for you to search for blogs in your niche.Browsing blog ranking sites like Blogflux, Topblogarea, Blogtoplist is a great idea.

Blog Rolls:

This point might seem obvious but it is also easily forgotten. If you know blogs in your niche already, then it makes sense to browse through their blogrolls as they would have in all probability linked to other blogs in the same niche as theirs. This way you too can find more bloggers in your niche.

Finding other bloggers in your niche is very important as it helps you to network and learn a lot more. It helps you to find blogs where you can guest post and also come up with new post ideas.

Hope you enjoyed the post.

It is important the you pick the perfect niche for your blog so that you can maximize the revenue which you earn out of it. There are many factors that you should take into consideration before picking up a niche for a new blog. This is the number one dilemma any seasoned blogger faces before he decided to start a new blog – he is unable to settle on a niche which he can write about.

The Marketability

The ease of marketing a particular niche should be taken into account. Some niches are easier to promote and market than others. Suppose you begin a technology or Web 2.0 blog then it can promoted on forums such as DigitalPoint forum. This will help in promoting the new blog to lots of new people. At the same time, a niche on baby care would not be so easy to promote. It will prove to be a little more expensive and difficult.

The Content

How much content can your niche have? Make sure that the niche you select is never short of content and is something which is constantly evolving. Moreover, a niche which does not have any kind of advancement or development will almost become obscure. So ensure that you select a niche which is lively and will always give you something to write about.

Your Comfort Level

Your level of comfort with a particular topic is also important. I am sure many will find it difficult to write about bank policies, bank loans etc. as they are best for people from that field. Try and stick to niches which you like and can easily write about. Unless you are passionate about the niche which you write it will be difficult for you to succeed online.

Satisfy a Need

Does your niche meet a need of the readers? Will the niche you select and write about be advantageous to the readers in some way? These are the basic questions which you need to ponder over before you select a niche. Picking a niche that is of worth to others is a key point to succeed online.

Multiple Revenue Stream

The niche which you write about should have multiple streams of revenue. As this will increase your chances of earning more profit. A blog on blogging tips for example does not depend on purely banners and paid-links, most authors provide services such as Theme development, Content service etc. This helps them branch out more income streams. The niche you select should also be able to get a lot of new modes of revenue.

So think well before you decide and finalize a niche. As it can make or break your blogging career.

This post explains that you should not abruptly change the niche of your blog. It can create havoc on your blog ranking in Google.

You started off your blog with great enthusiasm, you figured out that you will make this blog an Automotive Blog with reviews on every four-wheeler that ever ran on Earth. One month, two months into the blog you figure that you are not able to break into the niche. You begin to get restless, find ways to pick-up the traffic and a few more months after that you decide that writing on technology would be a lot more easier to get traffic. You delete all your automotive blog posts and begin to start a new niche with a same domain. Is that a good idea?

The answer is no, not at all. If you really want to switch your niche you should preferably buy a new domain.

Reasons why switching your niche on the same domain name is dangerous:

After you delete all your blog posts, the next time Google crawls your indexed pages all it will find will be a truck-load of 404 errors. Which can be lethal as this will reduce your website page rank in Google’s indices. Resulting in blacklisting and demotion. Basically, any benefit you had of those will be annulled.

Google really does not take change that well where domain names are concerned. If you have blogged in your domain name about automobile since it was launched for a year or so. Then one fine day you delete all posts and begin to post about Food. Then you can be sure that you will be having a tough time trying to get your page-ranked, it may take you years to settle the dust.

The Experts Advice would be: If you really want to blog about a different niche than your blog’s current one then consider buying a new domain name for it.
