Guest Post is a concept that has become quite popular in the blogging-sphere. Despite the obvious benefits surrounding guest posts, there are many myths surrounding it. And one of the most feared myth by bloggers is that blogs accepting guest posts lose their identity.

Some bloggers fear that having guest posts on their blog will cause their readers to unsubscribe. They justify this statement saying that most readers subscribe to read what the author of the blog has to say and not to read content written by third-party authors. This is a big myth regarding guest posts.
The fear of losing identity of your blog will only be present if you are insecure about your blog. Authors who run authority blogs also accept a lot of guest posts and continue to retain huge number of subscribers. Here are examples of such blogs:

QuickOnlineTips.com – 24,471 readers (Publishes up to 5 guest posts per week)

ShoutMeLoud.com – 11,478 readers (Publishes up to 7 guest posts per week)

The above two blogs accept so many guest posts and still continue to grow readership each day. This example is illustrative of that fact that accepting guest posts on your blog does not make your lose identity.

The number one deciding factor of the outcomes arising from accepting guest posts is the quality of the guest post articles. Few of the mistakes some bloggers do while accepting guest posts is that they do not proof-read them and check quality standards.

If you have a blog with a pretty good Pagerank then there are chances that you will be flooded with guest posts. So you need to be really selective while choosing which post goes online.

Accepting a lot of guest posts does not kill the credibilty of a blog. However, accepting guest posts that do not provide value to your readers makes them lose interest.

Guest Posting Is Good For Your Readers

It is good because they get a change from the usual style of posts. Each writer provides a new and fresh outlook to each topic. Guest posts are a refreshing change for readers and they will provide more value to your blog if chosen correctly.

It is a fact that all bloggers worry about making their blog successful and all of us want to ensure that the blog is popular and is capable of making a full-time income. But not all are able to do it. Only a select few bloggers are able to achieve the break-through goal of creating a blog that provides them full time income. There are a few warning signs that come along with a bad blogger.

Sometimes even a blogger who puts in everything to his blog is unable to succeed. This is life. But being able to recognize the following warning signs in yourself can make you a better blogger. Here are 6 warning signs of a bad blogger:

You Don’t Take Risks

This is the point where a blogger simply does not want to leave his comfort zone. But even in blogging, like any business you need to have the ability to take risks. Taking a few calculated risks help you grow. The risk can be regarding changing over to a new theme or trying out a new style of writing. Maybe even changing the niche of the blog. All risks may not be effective but some may reward you well. Either ways, mistakes are always part of the success game.

You Don’t Love What You Write

This is the most common reason why many bloggers leave their blogs a few months after starting it. It is important that you love what you are writing about in your posts. For example, I am very passionate about entrepreneurship and internet. So I began this blog targeting internet entrepreneurs. You should also figure out a niche that you would love to blog about.

You Are Distracted

It is always better to do one thing with your full heart into it rather than putting your effort at many places at once. Because if you get distracted and begin to focus on many things at once then you are distributing your energy. For example, I also maintain an entertainment blog – Myfray.com which is doing well. But these days I am giving all my energy to Collegefallout. If I try to write on both the blogs simultaneously then it will affect my writing quality in both the blogs.

You Don’t Care About Your Readers

If your idea of a successful blog excludes keeping readers involved then there is a slim chance of your blog succeeding. Readers are the core aspect of any blog. and it is very important that you begin to communicate with them via all mediums available.

You Are Too Cheap

It is good to be cheap, but to an extent. If you overdo it and become too cheap you will stunt your blog’s growth. A blogger should try and be as cheap as possible initially. But once he begins to find the money coming in to his account, it is very important the blogging income is reinvested. Here are 5 ways to reinvest your blogging income.

You Repeat Mistakes

Sure, I mentioned that mistakes are part of the success game. But any smart blogger will know that mistakes are supposed to be learned from and not to be repeated – pretty obvious! If you are quick to learn from mistakes you will find that you save a lot of time and money online.

And if you really are working on your mistakes and bonus tips is that you should learn from other people’s mistakes. Everyone makes them, so you might as well take it as an example for yourself.

I wish I could claim that is easy to become a great blogger. But the fact is that no one is born a great blogger, it is only over time that a person moulds himself to become a blogger who builds successful blogs. Best of luck of luck with your blog and share with us any other warning signs you may know of!

Post Drafts are a great way for bloggers to stay safe during their “Writers Block” phase. Every blogger has it and it is an inevitable phase. There are definitely going to be days when you just cannot write a single word no matter how badly you want to. At the same time, you will find that certain days it becomes really easy for you to belt out articles for your blog.

Post Drafts are generally kept to continue writing the post later. But the advantages of keeping 100% publishable post drafts will save you during your rainy days. During days that you cannot write then you can publish your prepared post drafts. This will continue to keep your readers engaged. At the same time, you will continue to maintain the standards of the blog. A blogger is quite vulnerable to post vague and useless posts when you just don’t feel like writing.

Blogging is not a process that can be done by punching in and out, it is something more natural and complicated- some days you can write and other days you cannot. So the days that you find yourself in a good form to write belt out ten to twelve articles if possible. Trust me, it will make you feel much lighter and motivate you to write good quality articles knowing that you are in no hurry for completion as you have post drafts as a backup option.

It is understandable that the days you do not feel like writing it is absolutely okay not to write! At the same time I think it is cool to leverage the advantage which maintaining drafts of prepared posts offer to a blogger.
