What is the Reason behind the Unprecedent growth of Harsh Agrawal’s ‘ShoutMeLoud’?
It has often struck me when I visit Harsh Agrawal’ ShoutMeLouddotCom on how he was able to achive such amazing success in a span of one year. He began blogging in September 2008.
However, it is not the case that I do not find any reason for his much deserved success. This post on CollegeFallOut is about analyzing what has been the most influential factor for the success of ShoutMeLoud.
The first thing that caught my eye was the frequency of his posts. ShoutMeLoud features atleast 2-3 fresh posts everyday. These are generally related to Blogging, WordPress, Technology, Making Money online. The first month he began blogging, the blog featured 74 posts. There has been a month where ShoutMeLoud has posted upto 106 posts. But the average number of posts per month has been 80+ which according to my experience requires a lot 0f diligence from the blogger’s side. In other words, upto 3 quality posts daily.
Another major influence is a very useful service which Harsh Agrawal provides on his blog i.e. of Blogspot to WordPress migration service. When I decided to go pro after quitting Blogspot I could really have used the help of such a service.
His Thesis theme may also be a factor as his blog is very clean and easily navigable. At the same time it allows him to promote all his sponsors ads etc. Many flinch to invest money in themes considering that there are so many thousands of free themes available – but some times you just have to put money into your blog.
And currently he is a full time blogger after his blog earnings have been high enough to let him quit job – a dream that many can only think of achieving. All this in a span of 1 year is really mind-blowing.
One common thread I find is that Harsh Agrawal is a young Indian engineering graduate and passionate blogger – much like me and many other Desi bloggers that we have today. His work on ShoutMeLoud will teach you to work on your blog and learning to invest in its growth.
I am
Hey Vivek
I really appreciate this research which you have made, but my journey so far has much more then 3-4 posts a day. I’m giving a small mantra, when you live in a big city , you gotta tell people that you live in the same town, similarly Blogging is all about creating connection. One should be socially active and should be ready to take the lead and success will follow you.
Regards
Harsh
