Former NFL linebacker Bill Romanowski and his wife owe more than $15.3 million in federal income taxes, penalties, and interest, the US government told a California federal court.
The government is seeking a judgment from the US District Court for the Northern District of California against both Bill Romanowski and his wife, Julie Romanowski, for the alleged tax debts incurred from 1998 to 2004 and in 2007. The $15.3 million figure is only the couple’s liability as of March 13, and statutory additions to the tax bill continue to accrue, the government said.
